Happy Independence Day

To many like us Independence Day Celebrations is about thinking about the country, paying respect to the Tricolor Flag, Paying homage to all the leaders and people who had to go through so much pain and struggle for us to breathe the freedom in air which we enjoy today.

We wait to relish the patriotic  feel we get when we sing National Anthem when it is played at the Red Fort.

Yes there are many craziness, political drama, Industrial distrust acts happening around us every day. Let’s leave them behind. Let’s be optimistic today, The latest news buzzing, the largest tech company Google has an Indian CEO, Wowwwww! No doubt that India is emerging as the HR Capital of the world.

Some may be annoyed saying that India is still a growing economy and a developing country, not a Developed one yet, but what we forget to notice that In spite of major political unrest, corrupt government, natural disasters, global financial crisis, we never stopped growing at any point of time. We have been growing and moving forward every year towards our goal, there has been not a single instance where we have stopped our attempt to grow, improve and develop.

It just shows that the INDIA’s spirit as whole reflects the spirit of us – INDIANS, We come across many difficulties, extreme failures, unexpected loss, cruelty, distrust, but nothing dares to stop us, We Never Give Up!

Do you know India has more feathers in its crown than we perceive, what’s the issue is that they are covered by dust (corruption).

India has the richest cultural heritage in the world.
We have the third largest armed forces next to China and United States of America
We are the Seventh Largest Economy
We have the Second Largest Workforce
World’s Second Fastest growing in Automotive Industry
The Current Dean of Harvard Business School is Dr. Nitin Nohria was Born in Rajasthan, INDIA.

We can go on adding many such laurels to the list.

I would like to add some quotes of Famous People about India.

Mark Twain, American author: "India is, the cradle of the human race, the birthplace of human speech, the mother of history, the grandmother of legend, and the great grandmother of tradition. Our most valuable and most instructive materials in the history of man are treasured up in India only. "

Albert Einstein, American scientist: "We owe a lot to the Indians, who taught us how to count, without which no worthwhile scientific discovery could have been made.”

Wheeler Wilcox, American Author and Poet: "India - The land of Vedas, the remarkable works contain not only religious ideas for a perfect life, but also facts which science has proved true. Electricity, radium, electronics, airship, all were known to the seers who founded the Vedas."

This minute there are thousands of armed men standing in the border and safeguarding us.

Each and Every Indian is doing his or her part to make this Country proud.

Every INDIAN CITIZEN is an asset to the Country

And I am Proud to be one!

JAI HIND!!!

Microsoft Lumia 535 : Too Good Deal

   Photo : http://www.geeky-gadgets.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/11/lumia-535.jpg

For the first time the Nokia Lumia series has been released without the Nokia Name tag, I had booked for this phone on November 27th, 2014. On 29th I had received a call from Nokia Centre stating the product has arrived, More than me my hubby was excited to get the best phone of the year.
Microsoft Lumia 535 is an awesome phone to Windows lovers, being a Windows user I simply adore it. This giant 5'' Inches Screen has three columns and the Windows OS offers access to all the things this generation of people would want in their smart phone: E-mail, Office, Outlook, File Manager, Facebook, twitter, News, Browsing, Selfie Camera, etc.
Few Inbuilt applications which was'nt present in my previous Nokia Lumia 520 Scroll List was Battery Saver, BoxTV, Cortana, Jabong, Foodpanda, Health & Fitness, Jabong.com (Yeah! Its True), News, TimesCity, A whole list of Lumia apps, here is the list;
  • Lumia Camera
  • Luma CInemagraph
  • Lumia Creative Studio
  • Lumia Help + Tips
  • Lumia Refocus
  • Lumia Selfie
  • Lumia Storyteller

Phone Specifications:

Name: Windows Phone

Model: Microsoft Lumia 535 Dual SIM

Software: Windows Phone 8.1 Update

Operating System: Windows Phone 8.1 with Lumia Denim

OS Version : 8.10.14192.280

Screen Resolution : 540*960

Weight: 146. 00 gm

Screen Size: 5'' Inch

Camera: 5 MP Primary and Secondary

SIM: Dual SIM

The looks and features of this Phone is almost equal to High end Smart phones, but goes easy on your pockets. I got in a Nokia Care Centre in Medavakkam, Chennai, INDIA. The Price was exactly Rs. 9200/-.

You get full View, the Screen is 5" (12.7 cm) Gorilla Glass 3 Screen, not as big as a tab, neither too small, though the screen is big, the phone quite comfortably fits inside our palms. The wide screen makes it easy to make Skype calls. the wider screen gives a decent view, it feels like we are chatting through a laptop. The Display is perfect for a Bigger, Clearer Selfie. It did impress me. There isn't any problem with the touch sensitivity. The Technology is Capacitive Multipoint - Touch. And the Display technology is IPS LCD.
The back, windows and search buttons are not hardware touch buttons like Nokia Lumia 520, you need to swipe up to see the buttons, and the same pattern follows with the signal, bluetooth, Camera and Brightness setting which is in the top of the screen, you need to swipe down to see those tiles.
I always suggest Windows phone to new smart phone buyers, the Customization part always impresses me in Windows phone, you want an app, install it in seconds through store, want to check a mail add your account, changing your phone, remember the windows login details, not only your contacts, messages, camera photos, even your Whatsapp photos are stored and transferred to your new phone with ease.
And for a Professional Microsoft Office is built-in in Lumia series which offers access to Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and OneNote, And we don't need to worry about storage in Microsoft Lumia 535, The following are the specifications with regard to storage; RAM: 1 GB, 8 Gb Mass Memory, 128 GB Maximum memory card size and Cloud Storage 15 GB.
Now lets see the Pros and Cons of Microsoft Lumia 535;

Lumia 535: Pros

I love the Corona app, Have a look at what does this app do in the following Video Link;

Very well built, Wide Screen, Cool apps, Excellent Camera Features, Decent Battery life, I would rate excellent performance. Best suited for Windows Users who are looking for High end phone with the best price.

Lumia 535: Cons

Though tutorials are available, the ease to use for first time windows users or smartphone users is missing. that can be improved. For New Smart phone buyers the three columns tiles would look a bit clumsy and complicated. With regard to charger, the same old design except the name tag, "Microsoft" has replaced "Nokia". And I would admit that I hated the headset, Could have been more comfortable and stylish.
But It would be Unfair to ask for more, Microsoft Lumia 535 offers more than its price, the perfect strategy to enter into market and mark its name in the consumers mind. According to me, buying Microsoft Lumia 535 at just Rs. 9200/- ($149) is a deal which too good to be true.

The Best Smart Phone for the Smart Buyers!

How Have Car Tyres Changed Over the Years

Have you ever wondered how far things have evolved over the years, the only thing that has been constant in this world is Change, every minute million of things are changing, In this article we are going to see how Car tyres have been changed over the years. Did you know how the tyres got their names, before rubber tyres were invented, craftsmen made wheels called Wheelwright, it would have forge bands of steel to the wheels of carts, the steel band would tie the spokes of the wheel together, and hence it was called ”tyre” and the same name has been used till now.
Rubber tyres were invented in the mid – 1800’s, the inspiration for rubber tyres has actually come from Indians, Some explorers have seen Indians using the sheet of rubber for waterproofing, and Charles Mcintosh was experimenting on latex – a sap product which came from a tree in Amazon, but this material had a problem, this material was brittle in cold weather and it became sticky in hot weather, and then in the year 1839, Charled Goodyear added sulphur to it, which gave the latex elasticity and strength. The experimentation was spread all over Europe and America. And then in mid 1800’s rubber tyres were invented, those rubber tyres were solid or cushion, and was able to carry the load, absorb shocks and resist cuts. These cushioning tyres were the was used in carriages and cycles then.
Pneumatic rubber tyre
Did you know that there are many interesting stories behind the birth of pneumatic rubber tyres, it was actually created by an individual to help his son, when John Dunlop found that the tyre of his son’s bicycle wasn’t comfortable, he tried to invent the pneumatic tyre, When Dunlop wanted to establish his finding, a controversy was created stating another person by the name Robert William Thomson had already patented a pneumatic tyre in 1845, Only in 1888 John Dunlop applied for the patent. But finally Dunlop won the legal battle, as he had an established Rubber Company. But the first pneumatic tyres for automobile were pioneered by the two brothers of Michelin family, Andre and Edouard. They were the ones who equipped a car with their invented pneumatic tyre and did a trial run as well. They didn’t stop there; they also rode the car fixed with pneumatic tyres in the Paris-Bordeaux road race in 1895. They lost the race, but didn’t fail in their business venture. They went on become one of the leading producers of tyres in Europe. The evolution of pneumatic tyres pushed away the solid rubber tyres from the race, the solid rubber tyres disappeared.

Radial tyres
These people only created the radial tyres in 1948, which was an revolutionary achievements. These steel based tyres had many advantages, they had long life, increased mileage of the car but also had the disadvantage of different suspension system. But it became popular gradually. In 1898l the Good year Company discovered the vulcanized rubber which was another milestone in the tyre industry.
In the following years car tyres had an inner tube in them which was filled with compressed air and outer rubber casting which protected the inner tube. The outer layer had many layers of rubberized fabric cords embedded in them, which made them strong and suitable for all roads and even for jungle rides.

Future of tyres

The tyres of cars has evolved a lot in the recent past, even the air used to fill the inner tube has is being experimented, some filling stations offer to fill Nitrogen gas for better performance. Various types of tyres are being used for various type of cars, and the car owners specific need. Heavy tyre development has been happening especially in race cars, however nothing revolutionary  has happened so far. Let see what future has in store for us. The below is the list of major happening in the history of tyres.
§  1840’s: Charles Goodyear invented the vulcanised rubber and Robert William Thomson patented the vulcanised rubber pneumatic tyre
§  1880’s: John Dunlop invented pneumatic tyres for his son’s bicycles.
§  1890’s: Brothers of Michelin family used pneumatic tyres on an automobile and had a trial run
§  1903: Paul Weeks Litchfield patents tubeless tyre. He rose to become the chairman of Goodyear in the year 1940.
§  1904: Mountable rims were introduced to enable the owners to fix their tyres
§  1910: B.F. Goodrich added carbon to rubber and invented longer life tyres

Known Logos and their Unknown Meaning !!!

We come across various products daily, just for a second think how we recognize our favorite products, By Name ??? Sure, 90% percent of the time we just take the product by its cover color and logo, that's why many small shops cheat us by giving duplicate products with same color packaging and only a slight change in name, So what am I trying to say here ?  The logo shape and cover color sticks to our mind immediately and product manufacturers are well aware of this and that's why lots of effort is put into designing a logo to a product,

               Here we have created a list of logos and signs of products which you are well aware of, but not of their logo meanings, Check out these interesting facts ;

1. Audi

Usually a logo would be a tick, a symbol, but Audi's Logo four circles ???, Well the four circles actually represents four companies namely DKW, Horch, Wanderer and Audi. These four companies were a part of the Auto-Union Consortium in 1932.

2. Maggi

Have you ever wondered the meaning of "Maggi", Here it is, the product is named after it's founder Julius Maggi (September 2, 1859 - 1925).

3. Micromax

In 2012, the "m" was changed to a fist ready to punch, It represents the power of the company to punch in sales and knock out competition.

4. Pizza Hut

Richard D. Burke, a renowned architect built a mansard roof shape for the Pizza Hut store in 1967. The founders were very much inspired by it, so much that they decided to keep the Red Hut as their food chain emblem. Later in 2008 it was modified and in 2012 "Make it great" slogan was added.
5. National Insurance

The dark blue color, Peacock Icon, Blue shade background all imparts our Country. It creates a Indian feel. An ethnic logo perfect for a Public sector company.

6. India Gate

Why should a National Symbol and an important Historic Tourist place be used as a Brand name and logo, the manufacturer says "When the world thinks of Basmati, it thinks of India and India Gate Basmati rice". Basmati rice is exported all over the world and it carries it's Indian origin along with it.

7. Dabur

Dabur has always had Banyan tree as it's product logo. The Banyan tree is a symbol of health and longevity, which depicts the benefits and value of the product. The logo completes the product.

8. Red Bull

This Red Bull logo is one of the most popular logos in the world. This logo featuring two bulls fighting depicts attributes such as strength, speed, aggressiveness and vitality.
9. Apple

The Initial Apple logo refers the apple that fell to the ground and inspired Sir Isaac Newton to formulate his legendary theory of gravity. This logo was designed by Ronald Wayne. Later the “bitten” Apple logo which was created by American graphic designer Rob Janoff and had rainbow colors in them. The current Apple logo consists of an apple which is bitten from the right. And the glass-theme version of the Apple logo represents authenticity, innovation and supremacy of the company.
10. Eveready

You would have definitely seen this logo, a cat running through 9, this actually represents the 9 lives of cats, it shows that likewise the battery is known for its long life and durability.
